Kate Chopin is an American author of Short stories & novels (awaking). A brief synopsis about Kate Chopin   Kate Chopin is an American author of Short stories & novels (awaking). She born (Feb, 8 1851-Aug 22, 1904). Chopin wrote short Stories for both children & adults .she was not famous in her lifetime, her books were not published. 50years after her death, people started published her works. She was called the ancestor of feminism author of 20th century.

What is the significance of the title ….. why did the writer choose this title??   It’s a turning point in Louise life .She dreams of anew happy life but suddenly all her dreams go away . To attract the attention of the readers .

CHARACTERISATION   The characters in the story are faced with a tragic situation ,we see they all react . Her is a brief overview of characters. Mrs. .Louis Mallard : She is the heroin of the story . she is imprison after her marriage and feces a difficult life with her husband. Mrs. Mallard waits any chance to be free .

Married to Louise .He is believed to be involved in a train accident. Brently Mallard: Married to Louise .He is believed to be involved in a train accident.   Josephine : Mrs. Mallard's sister. She takes the responsibility to take care of her sister because of her fatal disease

Richard :   Brently Mallard's friend. He was in the newspaper office when the news of the accident arrived. After confirming the news,he went to Louise home to pass on the news.

_Chopin surprised us with Louise's elated reaction when she first said ''free'' to herself. She shocks again at the conclusion when she died upon Brently's return .
