Two Centennial Celebrations! 4-H – 2013 Land Grant Universities – Smith Lever Act

Overview What is our history? What is our future?

The Beginning of LGU In two Congressional Acts (1862 & 1890), specific universities designated as land-grant universities. Mission: Teach agriculture and mechanic arts.

The 4-H Seed: Teaching Children to Teach Adults 4-H evolved to address the needs of the changing environment
