Justice for Immigrants Comprehensive Immigration Reform In Political Cartoons

Recalling American history

And our own families’ histories

We consider the importance of reforming our broken, complicated immigration system.

One idea in 2005 was to criminalize those who assist the undocumented;

Immigrants responded in great numbers.

Even more border security became law in 2006: a long fence along our southern border;

A note on the effectiveness of the wall.

Meanwhile, millions of people wait in long lines owing to the US backlog;

Millions of undocumented immigrants contribute to our economy while living in the shadows;

We enjoy the economic benefits, but haven’t legalized those who make our goods and services cheaper;

And the American dream of equal opportunity eludes millions of hardworking families.
