Undocumented Students Today
Undocumented Students are ineligible for: Federal Financial aid, loans or scholarships The lack of resource in colleges does not allow undocumented students to reach their full academic potential, and they are also continuously worried about their immigration status (Ozuna, T., & Saenz, V. 2011) Economic, Marginalization, and career development are factors that influence the social identity development of undocumented students in college.

Causes Undocumented students came as children to the United States with no legal status. No comprehensive immigration reform Limited in-state tuition is blocking undocumented students from registering in college. mDshx2U2dAuMR3XyjpW6R/b548b017-e5ca-4b6e-ba72-ed00e5b90336.j

Effects Not able to practice their profession because they do not have a social security number. Deportation, broken families, and poverty are results of bad immigration system. Lack of resources socially disconnects undocumented students in college and results in their search for identity and self-belonging (Nguyen, D. K., & Serna, G. R. 2014).

Solutions Dream act legislation will benefit undocumented students (Ozuna, T., & Saenz, V. 2011). Common sense immigration reform will safe the families of students and their future
