Math 7 and Math 8 classes will be using the McGraw-Hill California Math textbook materials which are aligned with the Common Core State Standards. To access an electronic copy of the book and materials, please refer to the course code on the BTSN handout.

Assigned 4-5 nights per week and is due the following day unless otherwise specified. Homework will be checked daily Graded based upon completeness. Must show work for credit

Assignments will be posted in class and on my website in under the calendar section. Click the "more details" link on each day to find homework assignments and important attachments.

Grades will be computed on a point basis and will be posted regularly in Infinite Campus. The following scale is used to calculate grades: Percent Breakdown Grading Scale Quizzes/Tests 70% A 90%-100% Classwork/Projects 20% B 80%-89% Homework 10% C 70%-79% D 60%-69% F 0%-59%

Tests will be given over each chapter and will be announced beforehand. Some chapters will include a mid-chapter test. Quizzes may or may not be announced. Quiz Corrections/Exam Retakes: If students would like to improve their quiz/test scores, students may submit quiz corrections to potentially earn ½ point back per missed question. Students must complete quiz corrections within one week of the quizzes being returned. Additionally, students must staple their original test to the back of the quiz corrections. * Exam retakes may be given at the teacher’s discretion

It is the student’s responsibility to check on any work that was missed during an absence. Students will have the same number of days as they work absent to complete the work, otherwise it will be considered late. Any quizzes missed during an absence must be made up within a week of returning to school *Late work will be accepted for partial credit within 2 weeks of date assigned.

As a team, we will issue interim grade reports on the 3rd and 8th week of each quarter. Infinite Campus (5 th Week/End of Quarter)
