Presents Installation Instructions

Pre-Installation Cold-Plus® installation requires a qualified refrigeration technician –Before installation perform a maintenance service to assure that the unit operates properly The unit must be running during the installation and at least 15 minutes after

Step 1 Make sure container cap is tight

Step 2 Invert container

Step 3 Shake vigorously until all components are suspended

Step 4 Make sure compressor is running

Step 5 Install pump into container

Step 6 Install hose onto pump

Step 7 Make sure stopper is firm in container

Step 8 Install bleed fitting onto end of hose

Step 9 Pump to bleed air from hose

Step 10 Remove bleed fitting

Step 11 Connect hose to suction port

Step 12 Amount required –Direct Expansion (DX), Roof Top Units (RTU), Package and Split Units Per ton, apply 1.6 ounces / 47 ml. Per kW, apply 0.45 ounces / 13 ml. –Chillers Per ton, apply 1.1 ounces / 32 ml. Per kW, apply 0.3 ounces / 9 ml.

Step 13 Slow steady pump strokes –Each pump stroke applies 2.6 ounces / 77 ml.

Step 14 Disconnect hose from suction port

Installation is complete Congratulations – your customer now enjoys –Improved refrigerant flow, thermal transfer and efficiency –Removed oil fouling to improve performance Reduced oil fouling’s return –Improved pool boiling by nuclei enhanced efficiency during liquid-to-vapor phase change –Extended compressor life –Reduced maintenance costs –Significantly reduced utility, power and fuel costs

Post-Installation If product remains in container, cap off with dry nitrogen if possible –This prevents air and moisture from becoming suspended in Cold-Plus® the next time the container is used

Post-Installation – contd. Operate unit for at least 15 minutes after installation to assure full benefits If not installing to another unit, remove pump from container and pump Cold-Plus® back into container If performing multiple installations, remaining Cold- Plus® can be added to new container to prevent loss
