CBC Children’s Ministry Every Child Made New in Christ

Statement of Mission As a “Family on a Mission for the Glory of God” we extend the love of Christ to every child that they might find renewal in Him.

Statement of Values Seek to promote a grand view of God. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty. The whole earth is full of His glory. Isaiah 6 Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was, and is, and is to come. Rev 4

Statement of Values Be clearly Christ-centered. Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, given among man, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

Statement of Values Be rooted in Biblical truth. And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. 1 Thess 2:13

Statement of Values Be conducted in an environment of love. A new commandment I give unto you that you love one another; just as I have loved you that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

Statement of Values Provide positive Christian role models. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Statement of Values Promote practical Christian service. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, unto good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 …who (Jesus) gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession zealous for good works. Titus 2:14

Statement of Values Hold in tension the importance of the family and the importance of the community. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and members of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19

Statement of Values Include ministry to the parents. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 You shall teach them (these words) diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:7

Statement of Values Be conceived on a community model… …but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:3b-5

Statement of Vision Increasing numbers of children are drawn in through excellent ministry, periodic outreach events and mailings, and church families that are passionate about reaching their neighborhood and community.

Statement of Vision Children grow up to be rooted in the Word, instructed through a God-centered, Christ- exalting, thoughtfully composed curriculum, challenged to not only know God but to submit to Him, enabled to think and speak in biblical and theological categories, practiced in the spiritual disciplines.

Statement of Vision Children are so loved, cared for, and valued by the adults that they come to love being with God’s people in worship, prayer, instruction and service.

Statement of Vision Children are equipped to serve in their world as Christ served in His, given opportunities to use their gifts to build up the church, challenged to share their faith with the lost, led in missions of mercy and compassion, enflamed with a passion for God’s glory to the nations.

Ministry Focus Philippians 3:8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.
