3. An initial 29 item RCC Action Plan was announced in December We are now entering the final months of the initial Action Plan. In recent Canada Gazette and Federal Register consultations, PCO/OIRA received stakeholder submissions representing 160 organizations. Canada and the US are committed to another phase of work and PCO/OIRA are considering input received with Departments. Canada and the US will develop an outline of a forward plan for regulatory cooperation by the Spring, building on progress to date and lessons learned through the implementation of the initial Action Plan. Both governments plan to engage stakeholders in the development of the next phase of work. RCC – The Way Forward

4. Overview of the initiative Work together on the development of standards, polices and procedures to fully support the integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Key Milestones: Complete the first set of deployments under the Border Wait Time measurement initiative. Develop standards for connected vehicles. Review policies and procedures related to ITS and identify opportunities for better coordination.

5. Progress update All initiatives are proceeding or are completed. First set of deployments (six crossings in total) under the Border Wait Time measurement initiative have been implemented. Co-funding agreement in place for a National Connected Vehicle Field Infrastructure Footprint Analysis - final report expected in Spring Collaboration on policy and technical matters, (including ITS architecture updates) is ongoing under the auspices of the Canada/U.S. MOCs.

6. Process for the next three months for ongoing alignment work BTB stakeholder engagement has been completed, site-visits and follow up webinars have been successful. A draft final consultant report was received in June 2013, which will be published in the near future, and next steps are being developed to implement border wait time measurement technology at remaining fourteen high priority crossings. Ongoing stakeholder engagement on other initiatives will be held under the auspices of the Canada/U.S. MOCs including: Connected vehicles; ITS Architecture; R&D projects (including test-beds)

7. Next steps and key issues Going forward, we will continue to use the Canada/U.S. MOCs to ensure successful ongoing collaboration.
