4. 4 Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) - Status as reported at TPT-WG 27 Goal To provide the institutional guidance, operational capabilities, and ITS technical methods needed for effective ICM Systems. Status –Completed a Generic Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for release in May 2006 –Completing a Planning and Implementation Guide to assist in analyzing and implementing ICM strategies for a given corridor –Released a Request for Applications to select up to 8 Pioneer Sites (closes May 15) Plans for Remainder of 2006 –Select up to Eight Pioneer Sites. Award up to 8 cooperative agreements to develop local CONOPS and system requirements (year 1) From 8, select up to 4 sites for detailed analysis and modeling of ICM Strategies (year 2) From 8, select up to 4 sites for demonstration (year 3 to 5) –Begin development of additional analysis, modeling and simulation tools Modify existing tools to do “Corridor” analysis that are network benign and measure benefits for the operational strategies Identify common performance measures and data accuracy requirements –Conduct Webinars to Collect Stakeholder Input on the Generic Concept of Operations. 2006/TPT-WG-28/IEG_019

5. 5 ICM Status Update – September 2006 The ICM initiative is wrapping up the Phase 1 Research, and moving into the concurrent Phases 2, 3, and 4: –Phase 2 – Development: two contracts to handle the Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation (AMS) and the Technical Integration. These contracts should be announced this month. –Phase 3 – Pioneer Sites: up to eight Pioneer Sites will be selected. The sites should be announced over approximately the next month. –Phase 4 – Knowledge and Technology Transfer: this task with SAIC kicked off week of August 21, 2006, and includes the promotion of Pioneer Sites among other items. Webinar scheduled for September 27, 2006, to discuss utilizing the ICMS Concept of Operations for a Generic Corridor. 2006/TPT-WG-28/IEG_019

6. 6 Mobility Services for All Americans (MSAA) Goal: Improve mobility and accessibility for all, including the transportation disadvantaged. Approach –Use ITS transit technologies to integrate and enable coordination of transportation services among public transportation and health and human service providers. Status –Released request for proposals (RFP) to seek local community partners to plan and design ITS-enhanced human service transportation models. –Selected an independent contractor team to provide direct technical support to the model planning and design demonstration sites. –Developed proposal evaluation plan and established Federal Interagency Proposal Evaluation Panel. Plans for 2006 –Select and partner with up to 10 local communities to plan and design coordinated human service transportation models utilizing ITS technologies. –Complete definition of measures to gauge program performance. –Launch a new web-based MSAA public forum and continue promotion of stakeholders outreach, participation and training. 2006/TPT-WG-28/IEG_019

7. 7 MSAA Status Update - September 2006 Demonstration of Enhanced Human Service Transportation Models: Phase 1 – System Development and Design – RFP Closing date (proposal due date) was June 13, 2006. – 37 proposals received. 27 accepted for review. – 7 proposals likely to be recommended for funding in next few weeks.
