Book p.30 I stuck my pictures under `Camping’ and `Football ’. My friend, John, stuck his pictures under `Making things’ and `Reading’ Susan loves the outdoors, so she stuck her picture under `camping’

Book p.30 We stuck our pictures under `music’, because we play the piano and violin I need a lot of pictures. I need a lot of hobbies!

Some of the children enjoy reading. They spend some time at the library every day. We do not have a Judo club in school because none of us like Judo. Book p.34

The children also talk about the sports they like to do in their free time. Book p.36 Some of the children practice gymnastics in the gymnasium. climbing balancing

swinging Book p.36 rolling

Others play ball game like football, badminton or basketball outside. Book p.36 racket net shuttlecock

Book p.36 throwing catching Kicking

However, not all hobbies need a lot of equipment. Simple hobbies can also be great fun. Look at these children. Book p.37 We enjoy playing chess

Book p.37 We love playing cards. We like playing marbles We like flying kites in the sun!

Book p.38 Do you like making things? Here is something you can make with items found in your very own home. The title tells you what the task is about. Materials are what you need to complete the task. Instructions tell you how to do the task. Words like `first’,`next’ and `then’ tell you the order of the steps

Book p.41 We can find out more about hobbies from an encyclopedia. An encyclopedia is a book which contains facts about many things. It is arranged in alphabetical order. So,in the encyclopedia, facts about `rock climbing’ can be found before facts about `windsurfing’. Yes, because the letter `r’ comes before `w’ in the alphabet. What about `windsurfing' and `white-water rafting’?

Book p.41 When two words begin with the same first letter, we have to look at the second letter to decide which word comes first. I see, so `white-water rafting’ comes before `windsurfing’.
