International Federation of Medical Students´ Associations IFMSA contains 103 member organisations from 96 countries – i.e. more than 1 million medical students! IFMSA is connected to the UN and WHO in addition, IFMSA is a partner of UNESCO, WMA etc. What is IFMSA?

Founded in 1951 v Kobenhaven by 9 countries. The aim was joining medical students of all countries Czechoslovakia took part in preparing for founding IFMSA but after 1948 was impossoble to become a member state Later a part of Socialistic Youth (SSM) became a member From 1990 independent organisation OSSLF – CzeMSIC From 2000: IFMSA CZ History of IFMSA (CZ)
