Finland is also called the land of thousands lakes.  Summer cottage  Summer cottages are for recreation during the freetime. Summer cottages are usually next to lake or river. Cottages are usually built from wood.

 The night of the midnight sun  In the midsummer the sun doesn’t go down at all. We call that the night of the midnight sun. We celebrate Juhannus by burning piles of wood, bonfires.

The livelihood of the villagers is fishing. Many of the villagers have their own boat.

 White tailed eagle  White tailed eagle is the biggest bird of prey in Finland. The WWF set the eagle endangered. Their length is cm and weight is 3-6 kg. The female is usually bigger than a male.

 Helsinki  Helsinki is the capital and the largest city in Finland. Helsinki is also Finland´s major political, financial and cultural centre. It is located on the shore of Gulf of Finland. The population in Helsinki is approximately

 The Senate Square  Helsinki Senate Square is in the heart of the city. It is a historical square surrounded by important buildings such as the Helsinki Cathedral and the main University building. In the middle of the square there is the statue of Alexander II.  The Senate Square is one the main tourist attractions in Helsinki.  The Senate Square presents Johan Ehrenström´s and Carl Ludvig Engel´s architecture from the 19th century.

 The Market Square  The Market Square is one of the most famous markets in Helsinki. It is located near the centre of Helsinki, at the eastern end of Esplanadi and bordering the Baltic Sea to the south and Katajanokka to the east. Nearby there are the Presidential Palace, the City Hall of Helsinki and Uspenski Cathedral.
