Housing Environment, Health and Youth. Housing Environment is a determinant of because of all the affects that a house can have on you health. Low income parents are more likely to have a dirty house which disease is more likely to spread than a high income parent where the house is tidy. Youth are most likely to spend most of there time at home so housing environment is important to a youth’s health. With a dirty house you are more likely to be exposed to toxics, irritants and allergens which can lead to disease.

Physical Affects of the Housing Environment. The Physical affects that Housing Environment can have on your health are: ∞ asthma, respiratory conditions (indoor pollutants) ∞ drinking water ∞ meningococcal infection (damp, cold or mouldy house) ∞ the number of bedrooms ∞ the safety of the house itself
