Perish the Thought! There are some thoughts that Christians should not think!

Perish the thought that you can determine what is right by mere human reasoning! Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts. (Proverbs 21:2) For the word of the LORD is right! (Psalm 33:4)

Perish the thought that you are wiser than everyone else. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wisein your own opinion. (Romans 12:16)

Perish the thought that some people are better than others based on wealth, age, race or social status! “…have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?” (James 2:4)

Perish the thought that your ways are as good as God’s ways. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:7-9)

Feelings and thoughts are much like waves. We can’t always stop them from coming, but we can choose which one to surf.

“… wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you?” -- Jeremiah 4:14
