The Mariners Load Releasing Hitch

Required Materials: Two Large Carabiners One 60” Rescue Runner One Dissimilar Carabiner

Clip one end of the rescue runner into a large carabiner

Run the opposite end through the second carabiner

Continue back through the first carabiner

Pull carabiners 8”-10” apart and begin to wrap the rescue runner around the two parallel strands

Wrap around the parallel strands a minimum of four times

Pass the end of the rescue runner between the two strands near the second carabiner

Attach the dissimilar carabiner to the end of the rescue runner

Attach the dissimilar carabiner to the second carabiner

To transfer a load - Start by unclipping the dissimilar carabiner & re-clipping it around the parallel strands.

Slowly unwind the wraps which transfers the load
