P.1 English Topic: Animal World Production date : 30th May, 2000

Previous Knowledge : 1. Pupils know what animals are. 2. Pupils know the names of some animals, e.g. cats, dogs and rabbits. 3. Pupils know the names of body parts, e.g. eyes, ears, mouth and nose. Learning Objectives : Pupils are able to : 1. Use nouns to identify animals. e.g. It’s a panda. 2. Use adjectives to describe animals. e.g. An elephant has a long nose.

Note : 1. This set of PowerPoint is designed for both teachers and P.1 students. *Teacher can use it as teaching aids. *Students can use it to learn independently. 2. The presentation starts from slide 1 to slide 14 but slide 2, 3 & 4 are hidden. - Part 1 : There are 5 animals shown in a forest. They come out one by one. To see their names by clicking the animals shown in the forest. To listen to the pronunciation of their names, click the ‘speaker’ icon shown under the individual animal. - Part 2 : There are 3 multiple choice questions for consolidation. Answer the questions by clicking the animal. - Part 3 : Two animals are shown for comparison. There are 2 sentences using adjectives to describe the animals’ appearance. Click the ‘speaker’ icon to hear the sentences. 3. To move to another slide, wait for a second to find out whether a ‘hand’ sign appears or not.
