SCIENCE FICTIONREALISTIC FICTION  A form of fiction that draws imaginatively on scientific knowledge and speculation in its plot, setting, theme, etc.  Science fiction often tries to teleport a reader into another world. Often with extravagant details.  Realistic fiction, does use untrue events. The events in realistic fiction although fake, can or could be real.  Realistic fiction strives to make a reader feel as if the events are actually happening or could happen. Similarities: Both have themes and are made up.
