Today I will be talking about Biodiversity but further on I will look more into the Amazon Rainforest

Biodiversity means different types or species of plants and animals. There are thousands upon thousands of different species on Earth. Humans normally split animals into four different groups they are

It is the home of a wide variety of animal from creepy crawlies to jaguars to giant snakes. It supplies us with more than one third of the worlds oxygen. The Amazon Rainforest has the highest rate of Biodiversity in the world between plants and animals.

In 2010 Sky Broadband teamed up with WWF to try to stop deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest what was an unbelievably beautiful place has been turned to ash and tree stumps. But its not just for the benefit of the trees but the animals that shelter under them.

The reason why we cut and burn trees in the rainforest is because we need wood to make furniture, paper and much more. It is also because the rainforest is a very fertile land we need room to make farms to produce more food because the population of the world is expanding. Luckily we are managing to reduce the amount of trees that we cut down. These ones are fake pictures

To save the rainforest we can recycle cardboard, paper and much more. We can try to save food by not wasting so much. Look for this sign and remember : re-use reduce recycle If we save the rainforest we save the Planet and ourselves.
