Objectives: To investigate the reign of Mary I and decide if she really deserved the title of “Bloody Mary” Starter: From what you already know about Mary Tudor, to what extent do you think Mary deserved the title “Bloody Mary” Indicate your decision on the thermometer by colouring in up to what you think. Remember to explain your decision.

Was Mary I really ‘bloody’ or just misunderstood? Using the sources you have been given you need to come up with arguments for and against Mary being called “Bloody Mary”. You are going to court Today is the final day in the trial of Mary Tudor and you have been given the task of giving the closing speech. In your speech you have to convince the jury that your case is the strongest case for either convicting Mary as Bloody Mary, or not. The speech should be about 2 mins long, be very persuasive and use evidence from the sources you have been looking at.
