FIRST AID IN A CHEMISTRY LABORATORY CUTS: Washing them with water would certainly be wrong. In this case disinfecting with alcohol is needed. Unknown substances that might have entered the wound must be extracted with the help of a doctor. Wounds must be bandaged with a clean handkerchief of a bandage. Mark that cotton wool must not be used.

FIRST AID IN A CHEMISTRY LABORATORY EYE BURNS: Eyes must be kept open and washed with running water. If necessary boric acid may be used for this purpose. SKIN BURNS: First of all, burnt area must be immediately washed with cold water and diluted solution of Na2CO3 and then the emulsion of olive oil-lime water is spread over it. Finally, sterilized bandage is put on the burn.

ACID-BASE BURNS: Firstly, burn is washed with much water. If it is an acid burn, it is washed with 1%Na2CO3; if it is a base burn 1% acetic or boric acid is used. After these, Vaseline is spread over the burn. FIRST AID IN A CHEMISTRY LABORATORY
