WELCOME TO THE INVESTIGATION

What might have happened here? Why might this cottage be important?

How can two girls change the world? THE BIG QUESTION

Collaborate to solve the mystery of the Fox Sisters. Use questioning to consider how two girls can change the world. LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Welcome to the Detective Agency! Today you are detectives and your task is to solve the mystery of the cottage. Remember, detectives need to use collaboration and questioning to solve the mystery. Round One Your first pack of clues is available. Arrange your clues to help you understand what happened in Hydesville.

Welcome to the Detective Agency! Round Two You’ve collected your first set of clues. Pop your ideas on the post it note… “What happened at the cottage?” Now, open pack two. These are sources taken from the time. What can they tell you about the cottage. Can you solve the mystery?

Stop! Review! You’ve had two rounds of investigation so far. How well are your team collaborating? Give yourself a score out of ten. 0 (we need to improve a lot!) 5 (we aren’t too bad, but could do better) 10 (we are collaborating really well!)
