  Lack of sanitation led to widespread disease.  There were open sewers and garbage littered the streets.  Diagnosis weren’t based on symptoms of the patient.  Herbs were used as panaceas. Basic Information

 Attire of Doctors  Covered head to toe in order to hinder catching disease.  Long dark, robes and beak shaped masks.  Amulets of dried blood and ground up toads worn around waist.  The suits were impenetrable by rats and fleas.
