9 4.Degrees and Requirements DegreeAdmission Requirements Study Period Graduation Requirements Bachelor -Graduated from senior secondary school or the equivalent; -taken the unified entrance exam; -completed multi-admissions/ process. 4-7 Yrs. Earned at least 128 credits Master -Holder of a bachelor’s degree, or 2-year or 5-year junior college graduate with 3-years working experience, -passed the master’s degree program entrance examination. 1-4 Yrs. -Earned the required credits, produced a dissertation and passed the degree test. -For master’s degree programs in the Arts or in Applied Science and Technologies, the required thesis may be replaced either by the exhibition presentation, plus a written report or technical report. Ph.D. Doctoral Degree -Holder of a master’s degree, student of master’s degree program with excellent performance, medical science graduate with 2-years working experience. -Holder of a bachelor’s degree with 6-years working experience with excellent performance -passed one Ph.D. entrance examination. 2-7 Yrs. -Earned the required credits -Passed the Ph.D. candidate qualification test -Produced a thesis -Passed the oral examination.

17 3. Taiwan Scholarship 479 The MOE is supporting 479 international scholarship winners for the Taiwan Scholarship Program of 2008 to pursue their degree studies in Taiwan.
