Did You Know… 16% of the homeless people in Durham are children. 15% of homeless adults are veterans. 38% of homeless Durham adults indicate that unemployment is the primary cause of their homelessness. 15,000 households in NC District IV, Durham’s Congressional District, pay more than 50% of household income to maintain housing. 13% of Durham’s homeless people report wages as a source of income.
