African Dwarf Frogs Presented By: Rileigh

African Dwarf Frogs are Amphibians! Amphibians are cold-blooded. Amphibians are vertebrates, meaning they have a spine. Amphibians can live on land and in the water. Amphibians have gills while they are larva that turn into lungs when they grow up. Amphibians lay eggs in the water to make babies.

African dwarf frogs have smooth, slick skin and webbed feet. What do African Dwarf Frogs Look Like? African dwarf frogs have smooth, slick skin and webbed feet.

African Dwarf Frog Habitat During the dry seasons African dwarf frogs can live in shallow rivers, creeks, and ponds. African dwarf frogs can also live in flooded areas of the forest during the wet seasons. African dwarf frogs prefer eating and playing near the bottom, where they can be safe from predators and hide while they sleep.

What do African Dwarf Frogs Eat? African dwarf frogs are Omnivores Omnivore means African Dwarf frogs eat both plants and other animals. African dwarf frogs do not have teeth so they swallow their food whole. African dwarf frogs will eat: worms, shrimp, water fleas, mosquito larvae, and small plants. African dwarf frogs are bottom feeders and are rarely seen eating at the surface of the water.

Interesting Stuff About African Dwarf Frogs African dwarf frogs like to have friends! African dwarf frogs float to the surface to get fresh air. African dwarf frogs can float balanced on one foot! This is called Burbling. African dwarf frogs are very active; they don’t sit still for very long.
