EJECTION COOLING TOWER Saint-Petersburg Thinking about the future, to create new...

UNIQUENESS - EFFICIENCY OWN PATENTED* PLANT, THAT SURPASSES IN ALL PARAMETERS THE WIDESPREAD FAN-ASSITED AND TOWERED-TYPE COOLING TOWERS POSSIBILITY TO WORK IN THE DISCRETE MODE IN ANY SEASON ABILITY TO COOL FROM T = + 90 °C HIGH OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS HIGH STABLE EFFICIENCY OF THE COOLING TOWER (15-30% HIGHER THAN FAN-ASSISTED/AND TOWERED-TYPE ANALOGS) LOW POWER CONSUMPTION OF COOLING TOWERS (UP TO 30% LOWER THAN FAN-ASSISTED/AND TOWERED-TYPE ANALOGS) ABSENCE OF FAN AND SPRINKLER THERE IS NO NEED TO FEED FOR WATER TEMPERATURE DECREASE 2 *PATENT №72538, PATENT №

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM OF WATER COOLING SYSTEM PERFOMANCE CP 380/50 Hz EQUIPMENT AIR HOT WATER COOL WATER 3

EJECTION NOZZLES THE EFFECT OF EJECTION IS CREATED BY THE STREAM OF WATER DROPS PROCEEDING UNDER PRESSURE FROM SPECIAL EJECTION NOZZLES 4 PROVISION OF THE EXTENDED COOLING SURFACE DON'T FREEZE AND DON'T SHATTER: nozzles are located at an angle, after work stoppage liquid is removed in natural way, restart doesn't require preparatory works SYSTEM CLEANING WITHOUT STOPPING THE COOLING TOWER WORK MAINTENANCE IN THE DISCRETE MODE

FILTRATION 5 Mud collector-filterFilter of thin cleaning Cleaning from heavy mechanical impurity with a density >1000 kg/m ³ and size > 15 microns, and from easily emerging pollution Preliminary or final filtration with the removal of the weighted and dust-like particles, filtration capacity from 200 to 1 micron - The minimum hydraulic resistance (0,08-0,15 atm), not depending on the quantity of gathered pollution - Working at water flow speed from 0,5 m/s to 2,5 m/s -Removal of gathered pollution without stopping the filtration system - Expendables and special service aren't required - No grids and filtering materials

DROP CATCHER DROP CATCHER ALLOWS MINIMIZING WATER REMOVAL THAT RESULTS IN REDUCTION OF COSTS. FEED IS NECESSARY ONLY FOR EVAPORATION COMPENSATION (1 - 2% from the total amount of used water) 6 -RESISTANT TO RAPID TEMPERATURE CHANGE -- IT IS NOT A SUBJECT OF BIOLOGICAL INCRUSTATION -- EFFICIENCY OF DROP CATCHING – 99,99%

EGECTION COOLING TOWER CASE MATERIALS 7 -THE CASE IS MADE FROM THE REINFORCED POLYMERIC MATERIAL -LIGHTWEIGHT -IT IS NEUTRAL TO CHEMICAL INFLUENCE AND CORROSION -THE CASE FROM STEEL WITH THE CORROSION-RESISTANT COATING -RESISTANT TO MECHANICAL DAMAGES -DOESN'T REQUIRE SPECIAL SKILLS AND MATERIALS TO REPAIR Heated water = 60°С Chilled water = 25°С Heated water = 38°С Chilled water = 26°С

LAYOUT OF COLLING TOWERS 8 -CONSUMPTION OF WATER 100 – 300 M³/ h -TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE FROM 43 to 28 °C AT t = 40 °C and HUMIDITY 40% -MONOBLOCK SYSTEM WITH MOUNTING ON THE ROOF OF THE PRODUCTION CASE -CONSUMPTION OF WATER IS 2000 M³/ h -SYSTEM AUTOMATIZATION REDUCES ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND SIMPLIFIES THE OPERATION -CASES OF THE COOLING TOWER ARE LOCATED OVER THE PUMP STATION Heated water = 32°С Chilled water=24 °С

AUTOMATION SYSTEM THE AUTOMATION SYSTEM ALLOWS SAVING FUNDS BY REDUCTION OF POWER CONSUMPTION AND COSTS FOR SERVICE STAFF SYSTEM TAKES OVER SUCH MAJOR FUNCTIONS AS: MAINTENANCE OF THE CONSTANT PRESET TEMPERATURE OF CHILLED WATER MAINTENANCE OF THE CONSTANT PRESSURE IN THE PIPELINE, EVEN AT VARIABLE NUMBER OF CONSUMERS WATER LEVEL MAINTENANCE IN THE STORAGE TANK (SYSTEM FEED) 9

POWER CONSUMPTION UNDER EQUAL CONDITIONS OF THE ENVIRONMENT, EQUAL OPERATING TIME AND EQUAL THERMAL LOADING – OUR EJECTION COOLING TOWER HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK CYCLICAL AND TO CONSUME MUCH LESS ELECTRIC POWER, UNLIKE FAN-ASSISTED COOLING TOWER WITH THE CONSTANT OPERATING MODE AND POWER CONSUMPTION. BENEFIT FROM OPERATION OF THE EJECTION COOLING TOWER – IS OBVIOUS AND ALREADY TURNED BACK PROFIT FOR ALL OUR CLIENTS! ! ! 10

ADVANTAGES OF THE EJECTION COOLING TOWER (comparison of the standard fan-assisted and ejection cooling tower) 11 FAN-ASSISTEDEJECTION The sprinkler collapsesNo sprinkler Restriction on temperature of heated water +65 °C, restriction on temperature difference Has no restrictions on temperature and differences (to t ≤ +90 °C) Fan engines blow out, unbalance, high noise levelQuiet in due to absence of fan Requeres sufficient feed for water temperature decrease Feed for compensation of the evaporated water (1-2%) Restart during the winter period requires the preparatory works Works in a mode of frequent stops/starts in any time of the year The efficiency of the cooling tower depends on fan efficiency The efficiency is higher, than standard fan-assisted cooling towers and it is not changed during the whole service life Power consumption is constant and depends on fan power Power consumption is lower up to 30% Heat removal is adjusted by channeling effect and the frequency of fan operation Heat removal is adjusted over the wide range, with decrease of power consumption

MODERNIZATION OF FAN-ASSISTED COOLING TOWERS Modernization of cooling towers is performed due to dismantling of fan and sprinkler, with installation of ejection channels into air collector windows of the outdated fan-assisted cooling tower. Then the new water distribution system between collectors is mounted. IT ALLOWS:  TO SAVE ON DEMOLITION OF OUTDATED COOLING TOWERS AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW ONE  TO REDUCE COSTS ON THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF NEW SYSTEM SUFFICIENTLY  TO INCREASE THE POWER AND SYSTEM PERFORMANCE WITHOUT EXTENSION OF THE AREA 12

EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY - Simplicity of construction - Operational reliability - Availability to survey and prevention - Absence of ice formation during the winter period - Doesn't require the highly skilled service personnel - Automatic temperature control of chilled water and pressure in system -Continuous operation as well as at frequent stops during winter period - Absence of vibration and low noise level, is reached by absence of moving elements in system - The dimensions of unit are significantly less than fan-assisted and towered cooling tower have, power is much higher - Possibility to install in any place, on factory territory or on the roof of production building 13

ECONOMIC BENEFIT - Cleaning of nozzles without stopping the cooling tower - Absence of the basin (the underground tank) reduces the construction period and cost estimate - Sufficient decrease in costs for cooling tower service due to absence of the fan - Reduction of power consumption and costs for service personnel due to system automation - Reduction of pipeline length due to arrangement of cooling towers closely to production buildings - Feed for water temperature decrease isn't used - Capital costs are 1,5-2 times less (in comparison with standard fan-assisted cooling towers) - Operation costs are % lower - Quick payback of the cooling tower due to decrease of the costs for water consumption and water disposal The cooling tower is paid back in first - third month after operation 14
