Following God’s Call God has a plan for us all. No matter what vocation we are called to, God wants us to be saints. Read about two saints who were called to different vocations. Think about how they used their gifts to serve God.

Thomas More Thomas was a lawyer and writer from London, England. For awhile, he considered becoming a monk, but he changed his mind when he met Jane Colt. Thomas married Jane, and together they had four children, Elizabeth, Margaret, Cicely and John. Thomas made sure that his daughters received just as good of an education as is son, this was rare because girls were not usually educated in England during the 1500s. Thomas taught all his children the importance of putting God first in your life. Sadly, Jane died young and Thomas remarried Alice Middleton. Alice’s husband had died and she had a daughter of her own. Together they raised their 5 children. Thomas More wrote a very famous book called “Utopia”. That book caught the attention of King Henry VIII, the King of England and Thomas became one of his closest advisors. Share About Your Saint

Importance of Prayer All the saints had a relationship with God developed through prayer. They showed their love for God in the way that they lived their lives. When will you make time to pray to God?

Trust in the Lord When we pray, we are talking to God. If we keep praying, like the saints, He will help us discover the path that will lead us to our vocation.
