2. Today’s Sermon MEMORY VERSE ANNOUNCEMENT. 1. 하나님께서는 준비된 헌금을 기뻐 받으십니다. 교회에 오기 전에 정성스럽게 구별된 헌금을 봉투에 넣어 예배실에 마련된 헌금함에 넣어 주세요. God is pleased by offering that is prepared with care before arriving at church. Students should place offering in an envelope and put it in the offering basket when entering the sanctuary. 2. 한소리 합창단 연습이 1 시 30 분에서 2 시까지 성가대실에서 있습니다. Proverbs 3:6 Zechariah, a priest, and his wife, Elizabeth, were quite old, but they had no children. The Bible says that they were both righteous in God’s sight. Apparently they had prayed for a child, because one day when Zechariah was serving in the temple, the angel Gabriel appeared to him. Gabriel said, “Your prayer has been heard. Your wife will have a son. You will name him John. He will be the one to prepare the people for the coming of the Messiah.” Zechariah asked, “How can I know this is true? I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years.” Gabriel replied, “I was sent from God to give you this message. Now listen! You will not be able to speak from this time until the day this comes true.” When Zechariah came from the temple, he could not speak a word. The people realized he had seen a vision. When Elizabeth had her baby, the family members and friends rejoiced. They said, “You must name the baby Zechariah after his father.” Elizabeth said, “No, he will be called John.” When the people try to argue with her, Zechariah asked for a table and wrote His name is John. Immediately he was able to speak. John grew up and lived in the wilderness until the time he began his ministry. John preached and baptized at the Jordan River. The religious leaders asked, “Who are you?” John replied, “I am not the Messiah. My message is to tell the people to prepare for the Lord. The Messiah is greater than me. I am not worthy to even tie His sandals.” One day, John saw Jesus coming toward him. He pointed to Jesus and said, “Look! There is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Jesus asked John to baptize Him. John said, “I am not worthy to baptize You.” But Jesus insisted. John and Jesus went into the water, and John baptized Jesus. When Jesus came up from the water, the Spirit of God came down like a dove. A voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son. I delight in Him.” John became known as “John the Baptist” because he baptized people. Jesus’ baptism marked the beginning of Jesus’ earthly ministry.
