Group Questions 1.Read 2 Corinthians 12:20. How does anger manifest itself in the church today? 2.How did anger manifest itself in your personal life in the past week?

Anger a strong feeling of displeasure, and usually of antagonism...often accompanied by sinful emotions, words, and actions hurtful to those who are the objects of our anger. It is usually directed at a person.

Robert Jones Anger is a universal problem, prevalent in every culture, experienced by every generation. No one is isolated from its presence or immune from its poison. It permeates each person and spoils our most intimate relationships. Anger is a give part of our fallen human fabric…sadly this is true even in our Christian homes and churches

Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.

Colossians 3:8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

2 Corinthians 12:20 For I fear that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish—that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.

Ephesians 4:26-27 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.

Mark 6:19 And Herodias had a grudge against him and wanted to put him to death.

Romans 12:19-21 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
