Handsaw ● The handsaw is one of the most common tools for a carpenter ● Mainly used on wood ● Many other types of saws

Circle saw ● Runs on power or on a battery ● Much faster ● Have a large blade, which can be very dangerous

Hacksaw ● Used on hard materials like metal ● Small blade ● Different types of hacksaws: the normal hacksaw and jigsaw

Benchsaw ● Used to cut precise cuts ● Almost like the circle saw, only it's bigger and it's not moveable

Finishing saw ● Used for fast and precise cut ● Quite simmilar to circle saw and benchsaw

Jigsaw ● Used to cut sheets ● Quite dangerous

Chain saw ● Use mainly in the woods ● And on big peices of wood in buildings ● You have to wear protection clothes
