Purpose Discuss community soccer fields throughout the county and seek BCC direction on funding and development of future soccer fields.

Background  October, 2013 BCC approved funding MLS Stadium  Orlando City Soccer agreed to fund O&M for up to 15 years at $200,000 per year  Other items agreed in MLS soccer stadium discussions – Donate property adjacent to Barber Park – Offer outreach programs to youth – Provide scholarships for youth soccer

Background  The County currently operates 15 athletic fields dedicated to youth soccer  Nine soccer fields have lights (7 regulation size)  Fields utilized by youth sports organizations – Rush Soccer Club at West Orange Park – South Orlando Soccer Club at Barber Park – Orlando City Youth Soccer League at Little Econ Soccer Complex and Arcadia Acres Park
