Simple record design comprising:  User-defined hierarchical key  Value (floating point number)  Date and Date Range  Time and Time Range Pivot report used to interpret statistics stored.

Collections Management Museums EMu 4.0 Statistics Module Automated tasks populate values hourly, daily, weekly and monthly. System Administrators may add customised tasks. Statistical values may be added manually. Default statistics include:  Operation – Table – User (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)  Records – Table (Daily, Weekly)  Web – Operations (Daily, Weekly)  Logins – User (Monthly)  Sessions (Hourly)

XML template description:  Allows fields and text to be copied into other fields.  Prompts user to enter a value for a field.  Provides support for incrementing fields. XML: same format as used for Import and Report data. Starting IRN can be supplied to reserve a batch of numbers. Wizard used to guide user through creation process. Report produced detailing records created. Record Templates4.0.01

New operational privilege, daTemplates, required to create Record Templates. Useful for:  Creation of parts records from a parent record.  Creation of preparation records for a specimen record.  Reserving a block of IRNs or Registration Numbers.

Four new nomenclature tabs:  Legitimacy - records legitimate / illegitimate names (ICBN)  Availability - records available / unavailable names (ICZN)  Validity - records valid / accepted name of a taxon (ICBN / ICZN) New tab displaying taxonomic hierarchy. Collections Management Museums EMu 4.0 Image Resolution Allows image resolution (dpi) to be stored in generated images: System|Setting|Multimedia|Metadata|Set|Property|format|Resolution|x:y System|Setting|Multimedia|Metadata|Set|Property|format|Resolution Unit|unit Images can be displayed using Crystal Reports Picture Object. Specify the percentage image quality retained for derived images with lossy formats. Default of 100% implies no loss of quality. Quality value specified in Resolutions Registry entry. Image Quality4.0.01

Crystal upgrade Crystal Report viewer upgraded to Version XI Release 2. Support for English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish.

Collections Management Museums EMu 4.0 System Tuning Range indexes tuned monthly:  Data examined to provide optimal range searching. Search indexes tuned weekly:  Indexing information kept on a per record basis.  Information used to generate a configuration based on the actual data distribution rather than an “averaged” distribution.  Results in smaller indexes without loss of speed.
