N EW P ART C R EGULATIONS  Until September 2011, the IDEA 2004 federal statute had regulations for Part B  Part C regulations were from IDEA 1997; released in 1999  New Part C regulations released September 28, 2011  Became effective October 28, 2011; implementation by July 1, 2012  States must revise their policies and procedures to align with the new Regs  Many states currently are undergoing a period of public comment on their revised P & P 2/8/12 2
