Un - Holy Something unholy is not evil or sinful but common, ordinary, and mundane. For example, the LORD set apart the seventh day as holy. That makes the other six days of the week unholy, i.e. common. Likewise, the LORD set apart the nation of Israel as a holy people the other nations of the world are common.
