The Bible Has A Story To Tell Starting with a problem of disobedience but ending with an invitation to join God in heaven.

The Old Testament Is the Foundation for the Main Event Adam Great Patriarchs Abraham Isaac Jacob Joseph Israel in Egypt Exodus Mt. Sinai Wanderings Conquest Judges United Kingdom Saul David Solomon Divided Kingdom Israel Judah Captivity and exile Return from captivity

Genesis From The Fall Points to Jesus u 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

Genesis Points to Jesus u Gen. 22:18 And through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." u Gal. 3:8 The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you."

Books of History  Ruth: –A Moabite woman –King David’s great grandmother The inclusion of this story shows God’s interest in people of other nations and his inclusion of them in redemption.

Books of History  Esther –A Jewish woman who became queen of Persia –Her actions saved the Jewish people and preserved the family through which the messiah would come.
