Presentation transcript:

The power of the joy-fueled life JOY fueled to go…

A.Source of power – the JOY of the LORD! “… the joy of the L ORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV) He, the source of all things, is joyful – it’s His nature so we live in a joyful universe – the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you and the trees of the field will clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12)

What is joy? A lasting sense of well-being The prospect of possessing what one desires

Why is He joyful? (lasting sense of well-being) 1.He is love – desiring the best for all, always! 2. He enjoys what He has created – it is good! 3. Love NEVER fails – He is not threatened.

Why is He joyful? (prospect of possessing what He desires) 4. Firstly, He is a Father at heart, and He has redeemed His family for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2) 5. He has overcome the world system for them, and is working all things together for good (John 16:33, Romans 8:28)

A.Source of power – the Lord delights in you! 1.He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17) 2.The Lord takes delight in His people (Psalm 149:4, Isaiah 65:19). The Lord will take delight in you (Isaiah 62:4)

A.Source of power – the Lord delights in you! 3.The ultimate goal is to be with Him (Revelation 21:1-4). The Lord is with you (Immanuel), for ages yet to come (Ephesians 2:6-7). He wants us, He likes us and we are important to Him.
