Finance Report  The 2010 budget allows growth of the Defence Fund to $575,000 by year-end  TEAM also holds a number of other significant investments in reserve, including ethical funds and MTS shares

TEAM Office Report Complaints & Grievance  Established three-person Grievance Committee to protect member confidentiality  Complaints and grievance numbers are up  Main themes:  Respect in the workplace  Excessive workload and hours of work  Pay and benefit rights  Job evaluation and reclassification

TEAM Office Report Complaints & Grievance  Activity since our May 2009 General Meeting:  Thirty-five new complaints; three progressed to grievance  Eighteen complaints resolved  Eight new grievances; two proceeding to arbitration  Three grievances resolved  One complaint being heard by the Canadian Human Rights Commission

Pension Lawsuit Report Timeline  Jan 1997– New plan established  In 1998 MTS began a 5¼ year contribution holiday, exhausting the initial 100% employee generated $49M surplus  Nov 2008 – Thirteen-week trial concludes  Jan 2010– MTS to pay $100M to plan members  Apr 2010– MTS filed a Notice of Appeal  Jun 2010– MTS Stay application in court  Dec 2010– Appeal hearing (Dec 13 th to 15 th )
