Phonetic Alphabet Rule #1 – Plain English is better than broken or mixed phonic alphabet. Communicate FIRST, speak clearly, normal voice, about 2” from the mike. If using phonic alphabet, plan and practice first if possible.

More on Patrol While on patrol, when the dispatch is on the air all conversation STOPS and listens. Be prepared to write down any BOL or other information being given. If there is an activity that may use your assistance…call on the phone FIRST before going to the location!

After Patrol Complete patrol log and file. Return equipment bag. Return radios and CAREFULLY make sure they are charging. Turn in any courtesy parking notices to CODE box. Turn in vehicle maintenance form if any.
