FOULS

A player who commits any of the following offenses in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: DIRECT FREE KICK FOULS USSF, Recreational Youth Referee Course Unit 3, Fouls, V-3

A player who commits any of the following offenses in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force: Kicks or attempts to kick opponent DIRECT FREE KICK FOULS

A player who gets a red card - Must leave the game - Cannot return to the game - Cannot be replaced (yes, their team must play short) If this happens to a substitute, the team does not have to play short.

PENALTY KICK A penalty kick is the way to start play again after a defender commits a direct free kick foul inside the defending team’s penalty area.
