Types: -Wheat -Millet -Oat -Rice -Rye

Wheat  A lot is grown in Hungary.  We make a lot of food from wheat, like bakery, pasta and even beer.

Oat  It contains a lot of iron, magnesium, calcium. It reduces the cholesterol level.  It helps digestion. It cures gastric inflammation. It’s good for diabetic people and also a natural antidepressant.  It diminishes the risk of cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Porridge is made of oatmeal.

Millet  Its vitamin B and protein contents are high.  It is an antioxidant and prebiotic.  It reduces the triglyceride level. It optimizes your mood.  It has an alkalizing effect.

Rice There are two types. White rice: - protein source - contains a lot of amino acid - healthy Brown rice: - excellent source of manganese - rich in selenium - contains magnesium - reduces LDL cholesterol level

Barley  Its phosphorus, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, vitamin C, folic acid contents are high.  It guarantees a normal heart- and brain function. It has a calming effect on your nerve system.

Rye  Its flour contains less fat but more minerals than wheat flour.  It’s rich in fibre. If you often consume it, it has a good affect on your intestine function.  It lowers the cholesterol level.  It helps in case of obstipation.

To be healthy we should eat a lot of cereals!
