 Six-channel radio-controlled helicopters provide versatility and maneuverability compared to other aerial crafts; however, these RC crafts are very difficult to control especially for a beginner pilot  The control system to be constructed aims to provide ease of control to the pilot without removing any of the advanced features of the aircraft.

RF controller measured resistance

Atomic 6 DOF IMU XBee Ready

 Mounted on the helicopter to measure translational and rotational movement  Powered by a 3.4 – 10 VDC Li-Po Cell  Has a triple axis accelerometer and 3 single- axis gyroscope

 XBEE is a wireless serial technology  A wireless communications standard, which has longer range than bluetooth but lower power consumption than WiFi  One is mounted on the IMU to transmit flight data while the other one is included in the ground station to receive flight data
