Netherlands Info As of 2010 The Netherlands Population is million and is steadily increasing by 2.1% each year.

Government Structure The Government is a Monarchy-cabinet and parliament. The roller is usually titled the Prime Minister, King or Queen.

Economics 1 US Dollar is equal to.76 Euro. The Euro is the unit the netherlands uses for the money increments.

Tourist Attractions Some of the attraction of the Netherlands are, WWII site and Concentration Camps, some of the Museums. There are many Museums in Amsterdam, as other tourist attractions there. The windmills canals,dikes, Tulips, shoe factories are also there.

Customs The Netherlands Holidays are very similar to THe US. The big difference i found is that you try not to schedule meetings in the summer. The Family sizes are fairly small, 1 or 2 children per. family. Women stay at home with children and hardly work outside of the house.

Languages The Primary Languages is dutch (83%), 17% Other. Translation- 1. Hello-Hallo 2. Goodnight-Goedenacht 3. Friend-Uriend

Education The Netherlands have both Public and Private Schools. Placement from test is used. Elementary school is from age 4 to age 12, after 12 they go to high school, for which test are took to see what level they should be placed at for the rest of their schooling (4 Years). The College is leveled also. From High school on, is using a scale for placement. 1(poor)-10(outstanding)

The Military The Military Levels: Royal Military, Navy, Airforce, and Guard. It is Voluntary, and isn't mandated unless there is a need. Both Men and Women serve, but Women haven't started serving till just a little while ago. (10 years ago).

Transportation The transport system use to be trains, but now is Busing, ferriers, and a lot of cycling lanes. The gas prices are outrageous compared to the US, $6 and over is their price.
