 The Importance of finding his discoveries is that he found out for Spain that the seven cities of gold did not exist.  Also if he had not found the Grand Canyon it would not be a major tourist attraction.

 Francisco Vasquez de Coronado faced multiple obstacles. These included the terrain (deserts) and extremely hostile native Americans.

 He disrespected them by beating and sometimes killing Native Americans.
