GENERAL FORMATTING RULES One inch margin 12 point font Candidate’s name at top in 14 point font (or larger) Single spaced Heading in bold and all caps Subheadings in bold only One or two full returns before each new heading One return between each heading and its first entry Years have to be left justified (visible)

WHAT YOU DON’T WANT TO DO No right justify any element No bullet points No “box” or column formatting No narrative verbiage No description of books or articles No personal stories Exception: “Dissertation” has to have a short paragraph (it has to be removed one year beyond completion)

HEADING MATERIALS Name at top, centered in 14 point font “Curriculum vitae” (centered, 12p) Institutional and home addresses, telephone, , parallel right and left justified
