Topics Visual Intelligence Visual Perception Theory The Gestalt Theory Analysis

“We do not realize how we interpret the world.”

Without exception, everything you see, you construct. For examples: Color, shading, texture, motion, shape, visual objects, and entire visual scenes.

Visual Intelligence

Intelengensi Visual (Visual Intelligence) adalah kemampuan kognitif dalam memproses, menganalisa, mempersepsikan serta menyimpan semua gambaran visual, baik yang nyata atau pun “khayalan”.

Visual Perception Theory

A basic assumption behind all types of perception theory is that the physical world does not consist of coherent visual patterns that we humans simply pick up with our eyes as we go through life.

Types of Processes 1.Top-down Perception involves making inferences about what we see and trying to make a best guess (interpretation). ―Richard Gregory (1970) 2.Bottom-up What you see if what you get (direct perception). There is no need for interpretation. ―James Gibson (1966)
