SYNODÀLIA 2003 DARING DIVERSITY 2nd European Women´s Synod 5-10 August BARCELONA Campus of the Universitat Autònoma Bellaterra (Barcelona) (Music)

“WE WOMEN WANT A NEW EUROPE” All are welcomed to participate: whatever their culture or their religion

WE WANT TO FIGHT For a EUROPE truly open to DEMOCRACY, respectful of the minorities And in which the more mindful voices be allowed to prevail even if they come from the marginal quarters

WE WANT TO ACHIEVE a Europe with two faces In which women and men overcoming all forms of discrimination, can contribute their talents With wit and compassion. With great ideals and operative insights. Undertaking radical changes without forgetting the little details which weave our daily lifes.

WE WANT TO BUILD UP A new multicultural Europe devoted not only to finances, but above all to the people from the bottom of society (women, men, children) upon whom finances rest. NO, to the tyranny of an unfair job market. YES, to committment to people and their family.

WE WANT TO WORK In order that Europe stops the market of women and children sold and abused to obtain pleasure. May the myth of the BODY turn into a discovery of the sacred value of each WOMAN and each CHILD!

WE WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE Creating a new form of SOLIDARITY between different peoples and cultures, so that to RESPECT and to SHARE with others become as important as to DEMAND. And the rights of others are not less precious than our private well-being.

WE WANT TO SHARE The diversity of ways of life and cultures So that they all contribute to mutual enrichment. Those who do not learn how to SHARE and how to RESPECT will soon find themselves an isolated rock amidst stagnant water which will bring them to death.

WE WANT TO BRING ABOUT A NEW FROM OF DOING POLITICS Far from insult and mutual discredit, imagining new proposals to reorganize our MULTICULTURAL Europe: PEACE MULTICULTURALITY IMMIGRATION LEISURE-TIME FAMILY LIFE

WE WANT TO DIALOGUE About a Europe for the new millenium for which we can all feel responsible. Each according to her own culture and faith.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE WITH US YOUR PROJECTS? WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP US FIND OUT HOW TO ACHIEVE THEM? Come to the: SECOND EUROPEAN WOMEN’S SYNOD DARING DIVERSITY Synodàlia 2003 C/ Girona 117,4t Barcelona Phone/fax
