Presentation transcript:

Ongoing prevention of rough sleeping, the role of Supporting People The interpretation of outcomes and a joined up approach

The main elements of the service in Kent Crisis intervention (street work/drop-ins) Access to housing and support Floating support Reconnection Access to treatment services Strong links with the PRS

Capacity Vs Pragmatism Recognising the need for accurate performance reporting Recognising the need to react to intelligence and crisis Redefining what F/S means within an outreach service

Customer feedback Delivering a service that is relevant to the service user Delivering the service through the expertise of ex-service users Acting quickly to rectify mistakes Acting quickly on complaints

Is the service relevant to people in transition? Can be the “safety net” Recognising the need to move people through as quickly as possible Acts as a conduit for communication and as a broker

An evolving flexible service Working to develop and work within agreed county wide protocols Can inform the work of strategic groups across Kent The service is reactive as well as strategic in order to inform long term planning and relevant in relation to LA’s homeless strategies

The benefit of a stable and strategically commissioned service The service is accountable The service can be targeted The service can also be intelligence led Personalised services can/will be achieved
