I SAIAH 40 God gives people 5 reasons to change their faulty thinking, all centered on His majesty and greatness: Consider the deeds I have done (12- 14) Consider the nations (15, 17) Consider the vastness of our earth (22) Consider the rulers and powers (23- 24) Consider the stars, the universe (26)
God’s Majesty and Greatness IV. H OW SHOULD WE RESPOND TO THE GREATNESS AND MAJESTY OF G OD ? Isaiah asks three questions in God’s name to help us make the proper application of God’s overpowering greatness 1) 1) He rebukes our wrong thoughts about God’s Greatness (Isa. 40:25) 2) 2) He rebukes our wrong thoughts about how God sees us (Isa. 40:27) 3) 3) He rebukes our slowness to believe in God’s ultimate control (Isa. 40:28)

Isaiah’s conclusion encourages us to develop God’s view of the world (30-31) 1) 1) God considers both the physical and spiritual realms.
