The most boring gas in existence. (But it’s a cool name, isn’t it???) Argon The most boring gas in existence. (But it’s a cool name, isn’t it???) By: Jessalyn Hampton

And now the (sort of) interesting part… Argon Atomic Symbol: Ar Atomic Number: 18 Atomic Mass: 39.948 And now the (sort of) interesting part…

Interesting Facts 4. Argon is the third most abundant gas in the Earth’s atmosphere. 5. It is what is put inside of light bulbs to keep oxygen from catching the electricity on fire. 6. Argon is an absolute snob. It hates the other elements so much that it can be described as ‘inert.’ In other words, it doesn’t really form compounds. 7. It does absolutely nothing. That counts as an ‘interesting’ fact, right? Friendly Element Argon

So you want to buy some Argon, eh? Well, I personally think that isn’t the brightest decision on your part. Wait, that’s bad for business, isn’t it…

So you want to buy some Argon, eh? Only 5 Cents per 10 grams! Is your life too full of excitement? Are you starting to hate waking up in the morning in a strange bed? Not remembering anything from the night before? Never fear, for Argon is here!!!! It’s the gas that keeps your light bulbs from exploding, and we all know that doesn’t help a hangover! It’s the non-corroding gas that’s chillin’ like a villain. A perfect way to learn how to do nothing! So you want to buy some Argon, eh? ARGON (Ar)– The gas that’s just chillin’ like a villain! Highly recommended for those with ADD, ADHD, OCD, and other hyperactive or obsessive disorders. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by… Noble Gas Corp. Bring a little non-reactive atmosphere to the party! Don’t wait! Everyone wants a piece of the Earth’s third most common gas!

The Argon Atom KEY Protons ( ) and Neutrons ( ) Electrons: ( ) ((22 neutrons and 18 protons in nucleus)) ((18 electrons in ‘orbit’)) The Argon Atom Configuration Table: 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 nucleus
