IBRAHIM (AS) & HAJJ - 1 The following set of questions can be used for a team competition or as a group assessment by the teacher. The teacher can play the SHIP COMPETITION GAME – where each group of students is assigned a ship to sail and gain points; the group which has the most points wins. SHIP COMPETITION GAME: When a student gives the right answer, the ship goes up one level – and when the answer is wrong the ship goes down one level – if the answer is acceptable but not perfect, the ship is still floating at the same level. The group with the highest level wins.

IBRAHIM (AS) & HAJJ -2 SHIP COMPETITION GAME – SAMPLE LEVELS: When a student gives the right answer, the ship goes up one level – and when the answer is wrong the ship goes down one level – if the answer is acceptable but not perfect, the ship is still floating at the same level. IBRAHIM (AS) & HAJJ - 4 SHIP COMPETITION GAME - Q & A Set: Q6 – After Ibrahim(as) decided to destroy the idols in his village, what did those people want to do to him? Sarah (many prophets came such as Isaac, Yaqub, Isa – as) and Hagar (Ismail ….& Muhammad saaw after many generations). Q10 – What did Allah commanded Ibrahim (as) to do afterwards? Allah commanded Ibrahim (as) to emigrate to Arabia – eventually this was to become Makkah (Saudi Arabia). Allah commanded Ibrahim (as) to build a house for His Worship (Kaaba).

A - Haggar – was very thirsty and looking desperately for water; she was running 7 times around the hills of Safa and Marwa when Allahs instruction came and the water sprang from the earth for her; this is now know as the Zam-Zam water. Q15 – Why do we do Hajj and celebrate Eid-ul-Adha (of the sacrifice)? A – To follow Allahs commandments and remember the friend of Allah, Ibrahim (as) – from his story we should learn that we have to be ready to sacrifice everything for Allah.
